Memory Training In Schools Around The World

Here is a video of why memory training in schools is so important:

This blog is not about something that I have done, instead it is more about a passion that is on my mind and hopefully by posting it here. Someone who has connections, power and authority that I don’t have will see it and help make it a reality.

Every memory training seminar I teach someone will invariably say, ‘Wow! I wish I had this training when I was in school!’ You see, in schools we teach how children WHAT to learn but not HOW to learn. Frankly, most memory training techniques taught in school are silly and out dated.

The old acronym method of memorizing something is cumbersome. For example, if you want to memorize all the Great Lakes – Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie and Superior you memorize the Acronym H.O.M.E.S. and each letter stands for a letter in the name of the lake.  Granted it works in this particular case but to memorize all school work this way really seems silly and cumbersome.

What students really need is a good understanding of loci and then how to apply it to each subject such as math, science, history, languages, etc.

I don’t know how to get this memory system there. I have no clue. I am working hard, doing what I know to introduce memory training to students around the world. The method I have been following is to introduce it to the parents in a business environment and hope they expose their children. Yet, I would like a more streamlined was to get this information directly in the hands of students.

One day I see countries using my curriculum for memory training and speed reading as a part of what students learn as the basics of learning. If you have any contacts, anywhere in the world you may be beneficial in getting my memory system in the hands of students as a part of that state’s/country’s curriculum please send to me ( Ron White )and I promise we will make the world a better place for all.
